I want to make and sell lipbalms, soaps, shaving soap, bath milks, mascara and a multi-use mineral powder (can use it on eyes, cheeks etc). All the items will be made from natural base products and will not include preservatives, artificial colourants or fragrances. I know that all cosmetics manufactured in the EU have to comply with the safety regulations revised in 2004 but how do I go about getting certified for my products?

Summer is indeed the best time to get out of our homes and indulge in our favorite activity, that is holidaying. The warm summer climate, the cool breeze by the sea and the touch of soft silver sand are all very tempting. Another huge advantage of vacationing on a beach is the gorgeous sun kissed look that you get at the end of your holiday. Since, summer essentially means spending long hours outdoors, you need to make substantial changes in your makeup routine to keep looking just as stunning as ever. Summer makeup basically means looking fresh and dewy with the help of minimal makeup. So, read about the different summer makeup looks in this article and make changes to your vanity case accordingly.

Summer Makeup Looks

Summer time, as mentioned earlier, is a time for outdoor activity leaving less time to adhere to any makeup routine. Let us look at some quick and easy summer makeup looks along with some tips to keep you pretty like sunshine.

Nude Makeup
Nude makeup is applying minimum makeup to achieve a natural look. This is mainly for women who have a flawless skin and need no foundation to even out their skin tone. However, you may use a tinted face cream to render an even and finished look to your skin. Contour your eyes with a black or brown eye defining pencil. If you must, apply a matte nude eyeshadow to give your eyes a fresh, natural look. You may also keep your eyes bare, with just a brown or black mascara on the lashes. Apply a natural blush on cheekbones in colors such as beige, rose, peach etc. Complete your look with a lip balm in any of the above colors.

Natural Makeup
Natural makeup look makes use of quite a few makeup products to achieve a natural look. However, these products should have a very light formulation so as not to give you an overdone look. Choose a foundation with a good SPF in order to get complete sun protection. Dust some translucent powder to set the foundation right. Translucent powder will also give your face a matte finish. If you wish to go for a radiant look, apply some illuminating foundation on your face and neck. Create subtle eye contours with a brown eye pencil along the natural shape of the eye. Use soft colors for eye shadow such as pink, beige, lavender, baby blue etc. Curl your lashes and apply natural brown, violet or black mascara. Go for warm colors for lips such as orange, red or any neutral colors.

Bold Makeup
Summer also gives you ample scope to play with vibrant colors. You can certainly go for a bold look this summer, but make sure your overall appearance is balanced. For instance, if you decide to play with eyeshadow colors, make sure your lips and cheeks are underdone. Go for playful colors like mango green, purple, lilacs for eyeshadow. On the other hand, you may also use funky eye pencils and go for nude eyeshadow to get a more balanced eye makeup. You can also experiment with colors of mascara and settle for unusual shades like green, violet for that cool effect. Do not forget to dust shimmering golden powder under your eyebrows. This is a bold and best makeup for summer evenings.

Summer Makeup Tips

Summer may not be the best time to apply makeup on your skin, as the heat and humidity make your skin to sweat a lot. This may lead your makeup products to run down all over your face. Hence, always go for water proof products. They may also come in handy if you decide to take a quick swim. Since, heat tends to increase your pore size, there is a possibility of cosmetics entering your skin. Hence, regularly, cleanse your skin with a deep pore cleansing milk and then seal the pores with a toner. Apply makeup products only after you are done with this routine. Also, repeat the cleansing procedure while removing the makeup.

How a Cosmetic Invisalign Dentist For Sonterra San Antonio TX Was Surprised

I recently made my way around the Sonterra neighborhood in San Antonio, and I was really surprised by how many people I met had really wonderful smiles and almost perfect teeth. And I noticed this, no matter if I was at HEB, Wildfish,Yardley's, or Costco. Now, to be fair, I also noticed some people who were in need of some dental services as well.

So I started wondering about this, being a cosmetic dentist myself for Sonterra area residents, what motivated all these people to get dental care to have such beautiful smiles.

Thinking about this, led me to make a video to show what we do in our office for area residents. You will find a link to it at the bottom of this article.

And I recalled some of the comments and motivations that my patients have told me about over the 30 years since I began practice as a cosmetic dentist.

My patients in the area are to a large extent upper class professionals who are competing for jobs and relationships with other upper class residents and professionals. They've made such comments as, "I want to have a beautiful smile because the people that I meet expect me to look my best."

"I want to be more self confident so I can get the best of what life has to offer for me, and also help my family and others along the way."

"I want to get recognized for a job promotion or start a new relationship with someone and I want to look my best."

"I want to be happy, with a happy smile, and make others happy - especially my children and grandchildren."

Well it has been said that people are most concerned about their friends and family, money, and their careers. So this made sense to me and why the people I saw had these beautiful smiles.

I'll let you in on a little secret - as a dentist, when I see anyone, I naturally look at their teeth and their smiles. I've been doing it for so long now, it's just become second nature to me. And I always think to myself - How could I make a better smile for that person?

Well over the years, I have always wanted to make smiles better to give people more self confidence, give them a better appearance when they smile, and hopefully, by giving them a better smile, assist them toward achieving their life goals. To be honest with you, these are the real reasons people get cosmetic dentistry services.

And I never get tired of doing it. In fact I feel rewarded every time I can help someone as a cosmetic dentist for our area residents of the Sonterra neighborhood in San Antonio TX.

Eye makeup
They say eyes are the window to our soul. Eyes speak volumes about us, our personality and our nature. Through techniques in applying makeup to the eyes, you can give yourself a smoked, sultry look or an angelic look or even prep yourself up for a party in the evening! Here are some tips for apply makeup techniques to the eyes in the best way:

1. Choice of color: The kind of colors you choose for the eyes will determine the entire look. Nude colors like beige, cream, soft brown are great for office and daytime wear while colors like golden, silver and bronze are more adventurous and go well for a night out in town. If you want to add a touch of mystery, try going for a smoky look by opting for colors like black and darker shades of brown.

2. How to apply makeup: Firstly, you need to apply a think layer of foundation over your eyelids. You then need to apply a bit of concealer under the eyes to camouflage fine lines and wrinkles. Then apply a coat of eye shadow primer – starting from the eyelash to the eyebrow. This will ensure your eye makeup stays longer. Take three shades of the same color. Firstly choose the medium color and apply it from your eyelashes till the crease.

Then use an eyeliner (darker shade of the same color) to make a line just along your eyelashes. Use the darkest color shade to go over this eyeliner line. Then prep the portion above the eye crease with the lightest shade of the color. For the space under the eyebrow, use a shimmery shade of the same color. Finish the makeup application by blending the colors on the eyelid thoroughly to avoid any unsightly lines.

For acne and pimples
It's funny how our pimples seem to pop up just when we are getting ready for a party. However through the art of applying makeup you can hide almost all scars and blemishes most effectively. Here are some tips to get started:

1. Type of makeup: Nowadays you will find plenty of reputed makeup brands, which have ingredients, which actually fight bacteria and diminish acne. Using such brands can help you combat acne and make you look good.

2. How to apply makeup: For acne prone areas, you will first need to prep up your face with the help of a foundation. You can choose from stick, liquid or pancake versions too. Make sure to blend in the foundation thoroughly along the hairline and the jaw line. Then apply concealer to the areas that have acne. Again, make sure to blend it in well. One of the tricks to successfully applying makeup is to blend it in very well. Finish off the makeup application with a translucent powder. Just dab it on the face and blend it in well.

Tips for applying makeup when you have contact lenses
If you have contact lenses but love to wear makeup, then here are some techniques to apply makeup correctly:

1. Always wear your contact lenses first and then start to apply your makeup
2. Apply eye makeup very less as it can irritate the eyes
3. Use eye makeup that is fragrance free and free from any oil
4. Use a non-oil based mascara which is also water proof. This will prevent any chances of flaking

4 Essential Steps for Your Skin Care Routine

The face and the facial skin is the first thing that people see. So when we leave our homes you want to present a clean, clear, beautiful looking face. The facial skin unlike other areas of skin on our body is always exposed to the environment and therefore is easily damaged through sun exposure, chemicals, toxins and pollutants. Taking care of our facial skin is very important not only to stay beautiful but also to avoid increased signs of aging, blemishes, or acne.

Although, most skin care products and advertisements are directed at women, men should also have a daily facial skin care routine as well. Men's facial skin is just as likely as women's to become damaged, dirty, or acne ridden, therefore making sure you properly hydrate, and clean your facial skin is necessary. Most people have been using the same skin care routine since they were young. They found an over the counter face wash that has worked for them and they stuck with it. However, as we age our skin changes. You may need more than just your average face wash to keep up that clear, youthful looking skin.

The best skin care routines involve 4 steps. Diligence and determination are needed to succeed with a great skin care routine. Most people consider just washing or cleansing their face of the daily dirt and grime their best effort to keep their facial skin in good condition. However, it's the other crucial steps that will keep their skin looking young, vibrant, healthy and firm. Although, all four steps are necessary to keep our facial skin beautiful, 2 out of the four steps are not necessary on a daily basis.

The four essential steps to the best skin care routines are cleansing, toning, exfoliating, and moisturizing. Cleansing and moisturizing the face should be done everyday in the morning and before you go to bed. This way the face stays fresh, clean and hydrated throughout the day as well as the night.

Cleansing is the first step for proper skin care. Most people clean or wash their face at least one time a day. This step is imperative because it removes dirt, dust, grime, grease and extra oil from the skin. Wet the face and then use a good facial cleanser on both the face and the neck. Massage the cleanser gently into the skin in an upward motion. Then rinse the face with warm water and a soft washcloth or cotton wool. A water-based cleanser is the best for cleaning the face because you can avoid chemicals that may irritate the skin.

Toning is the second step in a facial skin care routine. Toning is usually used in the form of toner pads or wipes. Facial toners are used to remove any traces of dirt, grease, or excess cleanser that has been left as residue on the face. Using a toner everyday is an option and some people may even leave it out completely if they feel their cleanser works well enough.  A good rule of thumb is to use a toner in your morning facial routine but leave it out of your nighttime regiment.

Exfoliation is a key part of any skin care regiment, however should not be done on a daily basis. Exfoliation should be done once a week at most to remove dead skin cells from the face. Although the body naturally sloughs off dead skin cells on its own, exfoliating helps to speed up the process. Dead skin cells can block pores and cause acne so removing these skin cells in a timely manner can reduce the appearance of acne. However, exfoliation can be harmful especially to the facial skin, if done too often. Normal skin cells are replenished every 3-4 weeks; therefore exfoliating new skin cells can damage the appearance of your skin.

Lastly but most importantly is moisturizing. Moisturizing the skin is so important because it keeps our skin from drying out; causing wrinkles or cracks and keeps our skin radiant and glowing. Dry skin can be painful, itchy and unappealing to the eye. Skin cells need water to live; therefore overly dry skin can lead to increased skin cell death. Use a moisturizer specifically for the face. Apply your moisturizer when your skin is warm and damp because this is when the pores are open. Leave some moisturizer on the top of the skin to get the full effect for your skin. Moisturize any time the skin feels dry and after both morning and even skin care routines. Make sure your moisturizer doesn't have any harmful chemicals, fragrances or dyes that can irritate the skin.

Natural skin care products should be used for all skin care needs. Natural products avoid harsh chemicals and dyes that can irritate the skin and cause breakouts. Always use products based upon your own skin type. Test products on your forearm, earlobe or neck before you buy them. This way you can know if it will cause any irritation. Always remember to remove all makeup before starting your skin care routine. Don't just wash away makeup; use proper make-up removers to completely clean the face of makeup residue. Remember to apply sunscreen if there is a possibility you will be out in the sun.
