Free makeup samples are available from numerous sources. Many times companies hand them out to entice you to buy more of their product, or to obtain your contact information so they can send you ads for their products. If you don't mind receiving a few flyers in the mail, there are several ways you can get free makeup samples, online and off.

Visit your favorite cosmetic company's website frequently to check for free makeup samples. They will often run promotions, particularly for new products, to create a buzz.

Visit local department stores and ask for free makeup samples. Usually, they have sample sizes available. However, these free makeup samples are unofficial and are not given to just anyone. If you're nice, and don't ask too much, the person behind the counter might give you a free sample, especially if they think they might make a sale.

Search the internet for free makeup samples. There are numerous sites maintained by people who keep a close watch on which companies are currently providing samples. Look for sites that link to the promotion page, and never do surveys or complete offers for free makeup samples. Sites offering this type of service are typically scams.

Check product bundles for free makeup samples. Many times you can find cosmetic samples attached to products you already buy. You might also look for two for one deals as a way to get free makeup samples.

Tips & Warnings

ok so i love to play around with my makeup! i really only use eyeline tho. you got any ways that i can play around with my makeup that look different but not in a ugly way? please tell me if you do and explain how to do it

Well if you mainly use eyeliner, you can always shape your eye differently with using just eyeliner. Your possibilities are endless

For example, you could make cat eyes or make wings at the end of your eye to create a more narrow or longer shape of your eye. Even changing how much eyeliner you put on or where you put it can change a lot. If you make the top a lot thicker, round the edge, and instead of putting it on the bottom waterline, you could put a thin line on your lower lash line giving the image of an 'anime-like' eye.

Random tip, If you use eyeliner and you want it to maintain throughout the day without smearing or wearing off, you can always use a black/dark brown eyeshadow. After lining your eye with the basic shape and size you want with your eyeliner like usual, take an angled brush, put a drop of water or eye drops on either the brush or the eyeshadow and use the angled brush & wet eyeshadow as sort of a liquid liner. After that, wash off the brush, make sure it's dry (or use another angled brush) and then re-line it with dry shadow. This keeps your eyeliner on all day, its great. Coastal Scents 88 Color Makeup Palette

This makeup palette has highly pigmented shades; all shadows can also be applied wet for a deeper longer lasting effect. The compact case makes it easy for storing and traveling.

The case has a matte surface and measures 9" x 6.5" (23 cm x 16.5 cm) closed. The pots are Dime Size around and contain plenty of powder for many uses.

The colors do not have a ton of shimmer in them: if this is what you are looking for, you can always dust shimmer over top as I did in the above photo. It is nearly a 50/50 mix of matte and satin with slight shimmer.
